Please browse this site for downloadable applications, orientation dates & times, contacts for volutneer coordinators, and information regarding employment with the library, court-ordered communtiy service hours, and other volunteering opportunities.

We offer volunteering opportunities for both teens & adults (see the bottom of the page for details), but all applicants must do the following:

Print & fill-out either an ADULT or TEEN application.
Bring the completed application to one of our volunteer orientations.
Review the "Volunteer Orientations" section below for the full specifics.

Volunteer orientations will give you an overview of our current opportunities & a breakdown of volunteer expectations.

These information-sharing sessions are mandetory & your attendance does not guarantee you a volunteering position.

In the days following the orientation, your respective library coordinator (ADULT or TEEN) will contact you to schedule more in-depth training sessions.

The library is not accepting persons needing court-ordered volunteer hours at this time. Try contacting other area churches and nonprofit organizations, such as:

Chandler Christian Community Center 480-963-1423 - Accepts Court Ordered Community Service volunteers on a case-by-case basis.
Archstone Care Center - Adrian 480-821-1268 - 18 & up. Will do an interview & looking for a commitment. TB test req.
Community Services of Arizona - Gilbert Sr Center (kitchen) 480-503-6057 - Kelly 130 North Oak Street, Gilbert, Arizona 85233.
ICAN - Improving Chandler Area Neighborhoods 480-821-4207 - Will supervise youth 18 and under needing to do court-ordered community service. More info & application online.
